A magical experience in the desert.
Pros: Palmyra is further away from the other camps so it is quieter and has more space around it.
Cons: Nothing to comment

Pros: Spacious & comfortable accomm. Extra blankets & heaters are provided. Very peaceful and not close to lots of other camps so it feels more isolated The food provided was exceptional - Ali is an incredible cook & lovely to chat with. Some previous reviews have complained about nothing to do in the daytime - this is true to an extent & I imagine partly has to do with time of year of your visit also. You can request a desert trek by camel or 4x4 or on foot, but these are more likely to take place early in the morning or late afternoon / early eve due to temperatures. We were grateful of the downtime & the silence - we read, played games, listened to music and did a short walk to nearby dunes. At night enjoy the incredible sky Knowing that dinner & transfers are covered in total price was ideal for us
Cons: Be aware there are no electric plugs only USB charging points Bring plenty of your own water & snacks if youre so inclined - you can get bottles of water from the camp but at an elevated cost There is still some light pollution from the camp itself but you still have incredible view of sky and stars at night

Wonderful desert stay with the nicest hosts
Pros: The desert camp was run very well by Hamza and the other employees. The location is about 30 minutes by 4x4 from the nearest town, so very secluded. We traveled in December, so it was quite cold. The camp placed gas heater in our tent when we headed out to dinner, so it was a bit warm when we came back. The place is powered by solar, so electricity usage is somewhat limited, but honestly that is to be expected in a place like this. For a desert camp, this really was quite good.

Fantastic!!!
Pros: We loved it! Everything was just perfect. :) we compared a lot of camps and we chose this in the end as it looked far more remote than the others - and it really was! Also, the tent was spacious and super beautiful, the smell was amazing, shower was hot. dinner and breakfast were really fantastic. A vegan option was provided and super delicious and a lot! :) There is just one other camp nearby which makes it completely quiet at night and away from the lights. Watching the stars is awesome! The host Hemme even went for a little walk into the dunes with us to ensure we have the full star experience without any light at all. :) Hemme really made our stay special: he was super friendly, helpful, played music at the fire and also organized sandboards for us. Thank you for everything! We went there by camel (20€ extra per person) and on the day back by 4x4 through the dunes. Everything except the dromedaries was included. :)
Cons: All was perfect, thank you Hemme!

What a great experience
Pros: This gem is definitely in the middle of the desert in between the sanddunes. A stunning location and the tents are super nice and very spacious. Food was fantastic and the berber experience we got with the music and dancing was awesome. very well organised. Pick up was on time and the ride on the camels was good fun too.
Cons: The smell in the tent was a bit stale. It could have been aired a little more.

Simply magical and its much more than what it promises
Pros: The staffs are so welcoming. Barak, Hamid, Ali and the geng are very friendly. Great food. The chef's Lamb tagine very delicious. Excellent scenery and opportunities for trekking the dunes right at door step. Night sky filled with stars. Visit to nomad family, village and the fossil mining a must. Camel ride to see sunset highly advisable. Nice to rest outside the camp in the evening to watch sunset while enjoying mint tea before dinner. This place is magical and everything that it promises and much more. Totally recommend it. We spend 3 night and wish could hv more.
Cons: It's perfect !

An Unforgettable Experience
Pros: This was one of the best experiences we had during our time in Morocco. The sunset camel ride, organised through the camp, was idyllic and we were treated to a real VIP experience by the staff. A delicious dinner, followed by local music by the fire made for an amazing evening and the tents were so comfortable. As we were the only people in the camp the night that we stayed, we were upgraded to the best accommodation which was a lovely gesture. Special mention for Barak, who was extremely accommodating and was terrific with our one year old daughter who absolutely loved him!

Once-in-a-lifetime experience
Pros: Everything about this camp was amazing. High comfort, hot showers, flush toilets, fragrant tents overlooking the sand dunes. A five course dinner awaits you on arrival, drumming by the fire, stories of nomadic life under the stars. The campsite is very transparent about extra charges (unlike others that charge you around €120 after booking, which you didn't know about beforehand). The price includes 4x4 transfer, dinner and breakfast. Barak is a great guy with a big heart and an incredible story. His staff are very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this camp, it is worth every penny. I hope we come back very soon.

Incredible experience!
Pros: The experience was just exceptional and the people there are super friendly and make everything to meet your needs. The food was incredible and the tents were super clean and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing - only recommenation would be to stay for more than just one night to get the most out of your experience. Especially during summer, when it is impossible to stay in the desert during the day (we started the camel ride at 17:30 and left at 8:30 the next morning)

Great stay
Pros: Great place to stay in the desert. Perfect size for a camp in the middle of nowhere, where you don’t want to feel overwhelmed with so many other tourists as it happens in other camps. Very calm and beautiful place, loved the smell in the room and the beds were really comfortable, beautiful decoration everywhere. The staff was also outstanding, they do their best to provide you a very nice stay. Thank you Barak and your people, if ever back to Merzouga, we’ll definitely see you again :) Tanmirt!
