Dar M'hamid

Pros: Owner was very-very helpful. Beds were comfortable and as for February which is winter in Morocco, it was not very cold at night in Mhamid, but still enough blankets were provided and warm to sleep. Hotel has really nice inner yard to spend the time, play the cards. We ordered dinner and it was really tasty. Breakfast was pretty European and tasty, some yoghurt, eggs, bread, coffee. As we had a desert trip which we had taken from other operator (owner also offers tours), then he allowed us keep our car in the hotel parking lot for one night.

Amazing value beautiful riad!

Pros: An amazing stay! The best hospitality we’ve experienced in Morocco by far! We were welcomed with tea & a chat, had a delicious dinner in the beauty of courtyard gardens & a fresh & tasty breakfast. Couldn’t ask for more, amazing value and right at the start of the desert!

Cons: Only thing was our heating didn’t work but we had a plug in that kept us warm, everything was perfect otherwise!

Idylic, beautiful, accomodating

Pros: Dar M'Hamid was the absolutely best place we could have hoped to stay in. We had travelled to M'Hamid by bus from Marrakech (a 10 hour drive) and were delighted to finally reach Dar M'Hamid. The place was idylic: a beautiful and peaceful courtyard with lots of greenery, and a simple but comfortable room for the two of us. We had a delicious dinner (quite late- the only guests still around) and a very pleasant evening. The staff were also imcredibly accomodating. We reurned to the hotel after an excursion into the desert and they very kindly helped organise a taxi for us to the next place we were going, despite us not staying the night there. They also gave us some lunch and tea while we waited for the taxi! Absolutely one of our favourite places we stayed in during our 7 day trip.

Lovely traditional place, very friendly and great value for money.

Pros: A lovely traditional Riad. Very friendly staff who were all extremely helpful with typical Moroccan hospitality. The breakfast and evening meal were great and everything was extremely good value for money.

A quiet traditional place to stay

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The evening meal was good. We had secure parking. There was no pressure to take a desert trip

A gem under the hotels in M'hamid - get a lifelong desert trip memory!

Pros: I enjoyed every minute of my stay. This is a beautiful small hotel (Dar). Omar is a very attentive, friendly and professional host. I also booked the desert trip offered by this hotel - an incredible experience. A big Thank You to Omar and his team!

Pros: Beautifully designed, simple hotel with delicious food! We also booked the desert tour with Omar and spent two great nights in their camp, I can highly recommend it!

Pros: Dar M'hamid is in a great location, a small walk to the nearest Sahara small sand dunes, with a walled private back garden to park our motorcycle in. We had a warm welcome from Omar and were offered refreshing Moroccan tea and sweet treats on arrival. We wish we could have stayed longer and ventured into the Sahara. The garden is beautiful with a selection of seating areas and trees (which I think all the local birds also find to be the best spot in M'hamid). We had an amazing chicken and lemon tagine which was the best tagine I've had in Morocco. Breakfast was also just to our liking with a selection of tea/coffee, breads and jams, egg and yogurt. A gem of a place in M'hamid and we would definitely come again and stay longer.
