Kasbah Izoran

A natural and wonderful experience

Pros: Kasbah Izoran is so lovely and I would highly recommend. It is outside of town so plan to do your Midelt stuff first and opt for a later check in and ask about dinner. The conversation was riveting, the food excellent but most importantly, they offered a heater for our super cold night and the walk around the property was simply amazing. What a joy to be staying at a Moroccan castle.

Cons: Well, the wild dogs outside the house barking late and long was certainly an addiction to our moroccan experience but they were chased away. Apparently they have killed several cats. Nature!!

The stay was memorable, amazing sunset in a sustainable and traditional Kasbah.

Pros: Beautiful location, Great value for money,Delicious and generous meals, kind host.

Our stay will remain a lifetime memory!

Pros: It is the most beautiful traditional Berber house we have stayed in Morocco. We loved the serene surroundings of apple orchards. The host is an amazingly warm, welcoming & thoughtful person. He has named the rooms after personalities of people who have made a difference to the world. The host & his family cooked us very delicious meals too.

Family trip with a stop in Midelt

Pros: This is a family run kasbah and the hosts were very friendly and warm. The kasbah itself is very nicely decorated and big and has a great view on the surroundings. The rooms are basic but big. The food was abundant and very tasty.

Cons: The room was cold and we had to use a portable gas stove to warm it up

Big surprise

Pros: Unlike many other accommodations in the area, this one is not located on a major road. That alone is a huge plus point. We stayed at Mustafa and his family's home and felt very welcome. The family is incredibly friendly and hospitable. Everything is extremely clean. The meals are more than generous, exceptionally good and reasonably priced. All in all, we were incredibly positively surprised and can only recommend a stop here to anyone.

Pros: Tge owner and his family were very friendly and helpful, and they made us feel at home. The dinner was excellent, as was the breakfast. The view of the mountains from the garden is gorgeous. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful.

Pros: Mustapha and his family were wonderfully generous, helpful and informative. They prepared a wonderful dinner, allowing us to relax at their house and enjoy the view of the local country-side and the distant, towering Atlas Mountains. Mustapha is easy going, engaging and erudite, and most interesting to talk to. The literary and social/cultural references throughout Kasbah Izoran suggest a welcoming, broad acceptance of cultures and views, and great pride in the Berber culture. I highly recommend staying at Kasbah Izoran.

Amazing experience, can recommend!

Pros: Beautiful experience to stay in a guest home so close to the family. They were incredibly welcoming. Although it was freezing, they tried to make us warm with some heaters and thick blankets, which we very much appreciated. The meal was delicious. Good advice on a local hike to the canyon.

Cons: Nothing to complain. I would just recommend to bring some snacks / water for your own backup, as we timed our arrival incorrectly (our own fault) and were a little stuck as it’s very remote.

Pros: very beautiful home that was built by Mustafa himself - so many handmade details and lot‘s of love inside those walls! we definitely recommend staying at Kasbah Izoran and visit Midelt - it is a beautiful small city and the nature / landscape around is incredible!

Relaxing and peaceful stay with a beautiful Moroccan family in a quiet location.

Pros: Family operated Eco Lodge. Wonderful hosts and they served us a beautiful home cooked evening meal of organic home grown produce. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely outdoor sitting area to enjoy the view.

Cons: We enjoyed our stay.
