Great place to stay with a local family

Pros: The location is great, Ibrahim and his family are very warm welcoming hosts

Cons: If the wind is very powerful it can go into some rooms, so you may get some noise from it

Pros: We liked and enjoyed EVERYTHING in Brahims nice guesthouse, and especially Brahim and his family. We felt very welcome from the first moment and got a welcome tea while enjoying the amazing view from the terrace. Afterwards Brahim did a more than one hour walking through the village with us and explained us a lot about the Berber and his village. Dinner, prepared by his wife, was delicious, and also breakfast. The location is quiet, authentic and the host is just wonderful! I would definitely come again next time, but stay more than one night to do some hiking with Brahim and the donkey of his neighbour. Brahim offers such a lot , I just did not know that before , so I booked just one night.

Pros: We stayed here one night to avoid the crowds of Ait Ben Haddou, and it was an excellent choice! Brahim is the kindest host, he offered is tea in his home and introduced us to his family. We also got a great dinner there. Brahim speaks great English and he told us a lot about the Berber community and the culture. Make sure to go on a tour to the caves with him, it was our absolute highlight. We also got some unique souvenirs at his place. All in all - an absolute recommendation!

Pros: A very nice guest house with a beautiful terrace overseeing the valley, clean and cozy. The location itself is magnificent and the host was great as well. He took the time to guide us through the surrounding area, showed us not so obvious places and answered all our curious questions regarding Morocco and everything else. It is a family-run business and everything is done very well with great attention to detail. Cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic Homestay in a local Berber village

Pros: After a really beautiful scenery on the way from M’Hamid we arrived at Dar Brahim Tizgui and were greeted by the very friendly host and his family with tea. The family room was comfortable. We didn’t use the shower so I can’t say anything about it but the rest in the small and basic bathroom all worked well. I wish we could have stayed 2 nights to discover the area a bit more. We made some time to visit caves in the valley. It’s nothing touristic which made it extra interesting. After a short drive and walk through the valley the host took us to the front rooms of the cave system. He is so knowledgeable and eager to share about the history and lifestyle of the Berbers. We learned a lot during this short stay. The homemade meals are also very tasty! We absolutely recommend this place! And if possible, stay a bit longer than 1 night.

Pros: It was a wonderful experience. Ibrahim’s knowledge of geography and history, combined with his great English, gave us great insight into Berber culture and their way of life. Ibrahim’s family was very welcoming, and the location is perfect for enjoying peaceful walks in the mountains. The highlight for my kids was Ibrahim’s excursion to the caves where Berbers used to store food—an unforgettable adventure!
