Dune Merzouga Camp

Very nice camp with the best location

Pros: The camp has a fantastic location, right on the edge of the beautiful dune area. All you have to do is get out of your tent and you step into a different world. And you can get there easily by car, google maps will show you the way. The tent, dining area and bathroom is clean and nice. Food was as tasty as in other places in Marocco, which we find in general very good. We were offered music by fireplace at night but because we were alone, we preferred to go stare gazing in a peaceful atmosphere. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we can definitely recommend the camp. Also it was very good money for value.

Pros: Instead of being right next to the sand dune, we drove by car all the way to the campsite. Friendly staff. Good food. Hot water. We definitely recommend it.

Cons: Here’s a smooth English translation: The campsite is being expanded, so there is an excavator working behind the tents, but there’s nothing that can be done about it. In a few days it might not be here anymore.

Pros: All good things: you can come by your own car, 4x4 not needed. The prices for camel rides are fair. The staff are super friendly and the meals are yummy :) enough food even for teenage boys. Dunes right at the doorstep, so you can go on a little hike right out of your tent. Super family experience, would recomend it to everybody!

Fantastic camp, with great hosts, Great price, and safe and quiet.

Pros: A fantastic camp, easy to get to off the main road heading into the Sahara. Tents were a good size, and the shared bathroom (we had cheapest room available) were great, with good hot water, and good toilets. The Tagine we had for dinner was the best we had in Morocco. We went quad biking with a guide, which was great fun. The staff there were great. After dinner they played music for us, then we sat around the fire and discussed football, and they let us ask questions about the culture etc of Morocco - they spoke great English, and was a great conversation.

Pros: We had a great time in Dune Merzouga Camp, Brahim was great and amusing host, as well as the other guys, thank you all !! The location was great, we could park right next to the camp. Hope we'll be back soon !!!

Nice and accessible desert camp

Pros: Night at the edge of a desert is a special experience and this camp was a good choice. We had a comfy tent with bathroom and it was a wise choice. Next to our tent was the first dune - great to explore at the dusk and sunrise. To get to the camp was a bit tricky as this area experienced some heavy rains a week prior to our arrival. But all ended up well. We saw ponds of water in the desert. Breakfast simple but OK.

Pros: Ali and his team were great. They upgraded us to a better tent, gave us the opportunity to sleep outside in the desert and do a private sunrise squad tour (35€ per Person for 1h). Overall we had an amazing time.
