Pros: I originally came to Morocco for work, but I decided to take a short break and head down to Merzouga with some friends. Honestly, it turned out to be the highlight of my entire trip. The staff at The Camp were super friendly and welcoming from the very first moment. Our guide, Omar, was incredible – he shared so many stories about desert life and made the camel trek across the dunes unforgettable. Watching the sunset from the top of the golden sand felt surreal, almost like a movie scene. After dinner, which was absolutely delicious (especially the tagine), we sat by the fire, listened to live Berber music, and even joined in clapping and dancing. The night sky was unreal – I’ve never seen stars shine so clearly. If you’re in Morocco for work or travel, trust me make time for this desert experience. I’m already telling my colleagues back in the States to book it when they visit. Totally worth it
