Chez Meriem

Pros: Walkable distance to the bus stop, dunes, and anywhere else in Merzouga you might need. We arrived at 6am with Supratours bus and staff had no problem with us arriving early and checking in which was amazing. Cozy rooms, hot water, we would stay here again 100%

Pros: You literally sleep at the edge of the dessert, but without the mass tourist feel of the camps. For us this was perfect; 😍. A simple traditional house, a genuine kind and welcoming hosts, good breakfast. And the ability to explore ourselves the dunes on walking distance was a big plus!

Pros: Lovely place to stay, we came very last minute but Youssef welcomed us very kindheartedly. The room was very spacious and clean and it was only few steps into the desert. Also easy to access by foot or with normal car if you don’t want to spend a lot on a desert camp. I wish we had more time to talk with beautiful Youssef. Definitely recommend!

Warm welcome and delicious breakfast

Pros: It was one of the best experiences of our travels staying with Chez Meriem. Despite our late night arrival, he was waiting for us and greeted us with genuine warmth. The breakfast the following morning was delicious and accompanied by a beautiful view of the dunes and his yard. A truly memorable stay, best experience for little money!

Pros: Yousef was a fantastic host, spoke perfect English and couldn't do enough. Rooms are basic but have everything you need and are clean. As are the showers and toilets. Location is great. A 5 minutes walk to the town or the start of the sand dunes. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Yousef.

The best possible stay for exploring Merzouga desert.

Pros: Ideal location just next to the desert, very peaceful, kind and caring host Yussef, nice and comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms with hot water, delicious breakfast included.

Pros: Great location. You leave the hotel and the desert is a 2-minute walk away. The owner is very responsive. On the last day we left early in the morning and he made breakfast for us at 6:30 so that we had time to eat before leaving.

Cons: Everything is perfect.

Our best booking for the entire trip to Morocco!

Pros: The rooms are clean, well maintained, cozy and spacious. There are no problems with hot water, there is soap. Comfortable bed, the room has a table and wardrobe. The owner of the property is very hospitable and responsive. He was always in touch and helped us with all our questions and requests. The most important thing is that he did not impose any expensive and unnecessary excursions on us. We had breakfast included and it was great. Breakfast is thought out to the smallest detail, very filling, all the products were very fresh and high quality every morning! We didn’t always have this in Morocco in other hotels.

Cons: We liked everything.

Pros: Direct at the dunes. Clean room, very comfortable matress. Room is simple. Awesome value. Very nice owner. Shared bathroom with hot shower.
