Lovely stay and truly authentic experience

Pros: My stay in La Maison-Berbere was an absolutely wonderful and truly authentic experience! I can highly recommend staying with Ismail and his absolutely lovely and welcoming family to everyone! Attending a local wedding, the Taragalte festival, and a family birthday at Ismail's home have been a few very special highlights of my trip. Ismail's family is truly kind and genuine. Thanks to Ismail's help and him driving us everywhere, attending the Taragalte Festival in the desert has been super easy, safe, and fun! Thanks so much for everything!

An experience you won't forget

Pros: Our stay in La Maison-Berbère was just magical. The host is beyond helpful and happy to assist you with all your needs. Meals are hefty, homemade and simply delicious. One can choose to sleep either in the room or under the stars on the mattresses taken out upon request. There's ice cold water and fresh fruit available at all times. We also learnt a new card game and could play with the host's kitties. We can strongly recommend the Sahara trip, which in 2025 cost 100 euro per person. The driver, with whom the owner cooperates, is so skilled he should compete in the Dakar rally. During the trip we were taken deep into the Sahara desert, where we spent the night smoking hookah, eating tajine and drinking Moroccan tea. Our stay exceeded our expectations and left a lasting impression.

Cons: There's simply nothing we could complain about.

Pros: Had a fantastic time with Hussein and co. great food, great conversations, great hikes. Made some special memories. Note that the desert treks and tours cost money, but are fully worth it and Hussein is super helpful with organising everything.

Pros: Nous avons passé plus qu'une soirée étape à la maison berbère ça a été une immersion et une expérience incroyable de gentillesse, de saveur et de culture !!!! Si vous cherchez la simplicité dans un lieu authentique ( ne vous attendez pas au luxe ou au superflu) c'est le bon endroit et vous trouverez en plus des gens sincères et attentionnés. Le repas excellent préparé par la maman a été non seulement une explosion de saveurs mais aussi une soirée de fête bercée par la musique du papa et les chants de l'hôte, de sa mère et de sa tante. Ce n'est pas une recommandation que je vous fais mais.....UN PASSAGE OBLIGÉ ( j'ai fait 82 logements au Maroc depuis 3 ans et celui-là rentre TRES LARGEMENT DANS LE TOP 5)

Pros: Wir haben erst abends gebucht und hatten schnell persönlichen Kontakt. Alles wurde rasch für uns vorbereitet, Willkommenstee bei Kerzenschein und sehr reichhaltiges wohlschmeckendes Dinner serviert. Wärmendes Feuer wurde geschürt. Das Zimmer ist gemütlich, warme Decken für die kalten Nächte...

Cons: Einzig die Toilette im Bad war nicht ganz sauber mit wackeliger Brille.

Séjour au bout de la route pour aller voir le désert

Pros: Accueil chaleureux et complète prise en charge. Belle rencontre avec toute la famille. Ralentir au rythme de la vie du désert. Chambre confortable, nuit à la belle étoile et repas délicieux.

Pros: Hussaine var en fantastisk vært, vi hang ud med ham, og han tog os med til en virkelig fed festival med traditionel musik. Han hjalp os når vi havde brug for noget, og vi spiste lækker mad med hans forældre. Virkelig hyggeligt og autentisk ophold! Kan varmt anbefales.

la vie berbère à la maison berbère

Pros: Hssaine est un hôte très accueillant et très généreux. La nourriture familiale est incroyable ! Merci pour les délicieux repas et moments partagés. Plus qu'un hôtel, c'est un lieu calme au sein d'une maison familiale. Cependant, il est très appréciable d'avoir un espace indépendant de la maison avec une salle de bain et des toilettes privatives.
