Pros: The rooms were beautiful and the location was incredibly peaceful

Pros: Location and the grounds were amazing. The room we had was beautiful and set up with a lit of attention to detail.

Cons: It took forever to heat up and even with the ac on, we were still cold. The room had a fireplace, if we were able to use it, it would have been a game changer.

Pros: Beautifully located in the Palmeira. Very friendly French owner. Nice rooms. And very friendly local staff. Rent the bikes for a drive through the palmeira is the best recommendation we can give. It is a truly amazingly area.

Cons: It was a bit cold. But the People at Sawadi made up for this. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast could do with a little more variaton in bread, eggs and fruit.

Pros: Beautiful ecolodge in Skoura. This was just supposed to be a layover between Marrakech and Merzouga but we all really liked the lodge and the feedback from our group of 4 was that we were sorry we didn't get to spend longer. Grounds are very well maintained and rooms were large and well equipped. Dinner at the lodge was excellent. We had a very early start, so we didn't get to take full advantage of the breakfast spread, but we were grateful to the team for arranging an early breakfast, specifically for us.

Pros: Quiet and beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful. Fresh organic fruit and vegetables from their garden and farm. Staff were incredibly sweet and attentive and caring. We felt very looked after.

An Oasis in an Oasis

Pros: We had a lovely stay at Sawadi. An Oasis in an Oasis. The adobe buildings are beautiful, the food honestly exceptional fresh and with high quality ingredients and chef. We ate there every night also. The staff, kind and seem to love their jobs. We adored waking up to the abundance of birds every morning and roaming around the gardens and farm on site seeing the veggies and fruit trees grow and seeing the horse and animals healthy and happy. Down a dirty track you’ll find a little slice of heaven. Thanks for the memories Sawadi team! We would love to come back!

Fantastic stay

Pros: The space is spotless, beautifully designed with authentic Berber touches, and surrounded by a peaceful, lush garden—perfect for relaxation. The traditional breakfast was simple but delicious, featuring eggs, pancakes, different jams, olives, honey, and bread. It was just right for me and my family, though those with bigger appetites might want a bit more. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. Just a heads-up: there’s no TV, so it might not suit those who enjoy screen time. But for me, the serene atmosphere and lovely surroundings more than made up for it. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking comfort, authenticity, and a tranquil getaway!

Cons: Just be aware of the limited AC in some apts if you’re sensitive to heat. Still, I’d happily return!

Pros: We had a very pleasant stay at Sawadi Ecolodge. The staff was extremely kind and always helpful — truly welcoming and attentive. The property itself is beautiful: elegant yet down-to-earth, with a charming and tasteful character that doesn’t try to be overly fancy. There’s a vegetable garden on-site, and although we didn’t see any animals, you can feel their presence nearby, which adds to the natural atmosphere. My group and I were in real need of rest after many days on the road, and we spent a full day relaxing by the pool. They provided us with towels for the pool, which was a nice touch. The food was good — and we were especially happy to finally have some fresh salad! Breakfast was very generous and satisfying, and both lunch and dinner were enjoyable.

Cons: The only downside was the saltwater pool, which wasn’t very clean in the morning: there was some foam on the surface and dark marks on the bottom. It did improve slightly during the day, and we could hear what seemed to be the filter working, so we still used it. Another small inconvenience was that the card machine wasn’t working, but we were able to pay via immediate bank transfer, so it didn’t cause major trouble.

Pros: Beautiful grounds and room was really cute. Food great and massage was wonderful. Staff exceptional, so friendly and accommodating.

Cons: Pool surrounds where beautiful, unfortunately the pool was a bit cloudy which let down the overall setting.

A beautiful place to stay

Pros: What a beautiful place to stay. We loved the traditional architecture of the ecolodge and the friendly atmosphere. Breakfasts around the pool were a highlight, as were the dinners. However, the best part for us was sitting on our roof terrace watching the sun set. The lodge was a great basis for explorations in the area, into the Atlas mountains and other oasis towns.
