Riad Akabar Merzouga

Pros: We booked 1 night in this beautiful riad and an other night in luxury camp, after night in the desert we spend an other night in this riad, clean and quiet, see you soon, we are coming back next year

Pros: My stay at Riad Akabar Merzouga was absolutely wonderful. The room was very clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated in authentic Moroccan style. The beds were comfortable and everything was well organized. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and always smiling, which made us feel at home. The location is perfect, close to the desert, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing.

Pros: We had a great welcome to Riad akabar in Merzouga, Morocco. The team Yerbi, ismail, ismail and Azeez were friendly and efficient. ismail served tea and snacks which everyone enjoyed. They took our bags to the room after we were checked in. Later, at dinner, we were served by ismail. We all enjoyed the meal. ismail explained all the dishes well. His service was excellent.

Beautiful place in Front of the Dunes

Pros: This is our favorite place to stay in Merzouga. My family has been coming here for many years, and we’ve stayed at this riad several times. Each time we visit, we see improvements. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and provides excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Merzouga. We look forward to returning soon.

Pros: We had the best time in Merzouga at the Riad Akabar, one of the best experiences we had in Morocco! The brothers hospitality is unmached! They took good care of us, provided beautiful trip to desert with delicious food and amusing program. They let us stay in the Riad while waiting for the night bus we had to Fez and even shared their lunch with us. We hope to come back! PS: The highest peak of the dunes is just outside of Riad, perfect location!

Serene Desert Escape with Breathtaking Views and Warm Hospitality

Pros: Staying at Riad Akabar in Merzouga was an unforgettable experience, offering a genuine taste of Moroccan hospitality. The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the location. Situated at the very edge of the Sahara Desert, the views from the riad were simply breathtaking. Every morning, I woke up to the sight of endless sand dunes glowing in the soft desert sunlight, which made the experience magical. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. I especially appreciated the delicious home-cooked Moroccan meals, which were rich in flavor and authenticity. The riad also arranged a fantastic camel trek into the desert, where I could enjoy a stunning sunset among the dunes—a memory I will treasure forever.

Cons: While I had a great experience overall, there were a few minor things that could be improved. The riad is quite remote, which adds to its charm, but this means that amenities and shops are a bit of a distance away. Also, the Wi-Fi connection was not always reliable, which might be frustrating for those who need constant internet access. However, I found it easy to disconnect and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, so it didn’t detract from my stay too much.

Pros: Truly fantastic. We had a beautiful room, good airconditioning, good bed. Staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. Pool was cool and refreshing. Restaurant was excellent, really one of the best we have had so far (it’s not a la cartel but rather eat what the cook made, but the food was good :)

Pros: Riad Akabar merzouga Very nice staff, ample outdoor space with an awesome swimming pool and a back door to the dunes. We had a nice and delicious dinner by the pool.
