Good quiet place with great staff. ☺️

Pros: Being just outside the Medina, very close to the Blue Gate, it was a great combination between being central yet outside of the chaos, a perfect combination. Ismael, who tended the place was indeed attentive and very helpful. Communications with the owner beforehand, and during stay were very good. Facilities were good as well, with great in-room hot water showers, and the heater was very helpful during December storms, and a useful kitchen for making my own food sometimes. 🤗 Also a nice terrace

Excellent base for exploring Fez medina. Would happily stay at Dar Zin again.

Pros: Great location, comfortable room and very friendly staff. Very good breakfast too.

Cons: You may need to contact them on arrival for their exact location. Our shower didn't drain properly but I'm sure they will fix that easily.

Pros: I stayed at Dar Zin for one night. The room was small but cozy and nicely arranged. However, there was an unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom, and unfortunately, the Wi-Fi didn’t reach the first floor, which was a bit inconvenient. The shower needs some maintenance, and the towel provided was torn, which suggests that some attention to basic guest amenities is needed. On a positive note, Imane at the reception was incredibly welcoming and full of energy. She went above and beyond by arranging a tour guide for me upon request—her support was truly appreciated. The location is excellent, just steps away from Bab Boujloud and the Medina, which makes it easy to explore the heart of Fes. With a few improvements, this place has the potential to offer a much better guest experience.

Pros: Nice and helpful staff. Possibility of leaving the luggage after check out. Fair breakfast. Location (a bit confusing in booking.com - better to find the hotel by the name in Google maps)

Cons: Bathroom a bit outdated. Lack of window.

Tranquill dar in a perfect location

Pros: Ahlam was lovely, she helped me checking in and she escorted me to an amazing restaurant in the medina where I ate the best lamb tagine. Communication was great as she could speak good English, we had a very interesting conversation regarding culture. Breakfast was good, a pity it had rained so I couldn't enjoy the terrace. Location is perfect, just few steps from the blue gate to the medina, not too labyrinthine for a female solo traveller. I also asked Ahlam for a favour, as I needed laundry and she was happy to accommodate, which was a plus for me travelling for 2 weeks in Marocco.

Cons: The room didn't have a proper window, but that had an advantage, it was my first night when I could sleep through and not being awaken by the 6am call of pray by the mosques

Pros: The young girl receptionist is nice. They help us to book a taxi with a good price. The guest house is near the médina and also the Plais Royal.

Cons: The furniture and fixtures are a bit old.0
