DAR SEFFAH au cœur de la Médina

Really nice place to experience a traditional Moroccan house!

Cons: The mosque next door had a prayer and it was too loud,but the next night we used earplugs and then it didn't bother us much.The stairs of the house are quite steep so it can be a problem for people who have issues with knees(our friend had a knee problem and she was struggling with it.)

Great house and location and amazing service from Fati.

Pros: Great location in the old medina yet somewhat away from the very busy tourist areas. Dar was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was excellent and Fati is just amazing allround (always helpfull, sweet and a great cook). She was a great source of information in spite of the fact that our French is not that good.

Cons: The second bathroom needed some maintenance as well as the separate toilet (the toiletseat was completely loose/broken). All 5 of us were therefore using the one bathroom, which was not ideal. However with a little maintenance this problem should be easy to fix.

Pros: Très joli dar au cœur de la médina, avec un toit terrasse vue sur la vieille ville, très bien tenu par Fati, extraordinaire rencontre de ce séjour ! Accueillante, souriante, disponible, sans oublier son excellente cuisine et son thé à la menthe... Merci Fati, grâce à qui nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable.

Cons: La literie (matelas) qui pourrait être changée pour plus de confort

Pros: Très joli Dar avec toit terrasse très agréable. Deux chambres spacieuses. Fati très serviable. Excellent petit déjeuner. Très bonne réactivité et conseils en amont pour organiser notre voyage.

Cons: La troisième chambre convient mieux à des enfants.

Super séjour au coeur de la médina séculaire

Pros: Le Dar est splendide, en plein cœur de la Médina de Fès. La terrasse offre des vues sur la ville à couper le souffle et entendre les appels à la prière résonner dans toute la maison, surtout le soir est une expérience vraiment unique. L'hôte qui nous a reçu et nous a préparé les petits déjeuners est très gentille et vous renseigne sur le quartier et la vie dans la médina avec beaucoup de chaleur, de spontanéité et de sincérité. Maison très confortable, propre et disposant de tous les équipements modernes. C'est une vraie expérience totalement dépaysante que de vivre quelques jours dans ce Dar. Les enfants ont adoré!

Cons: Quelques photos de français touristes à dos de chameaux dans la maison pourraient être évitées ! Ça ne colle pas avec ce qu'on recherche lorsque l'on souhaite vivre cette expérience mais pas bien grave...

Pros: Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est idéalement située et très bien entretenue. Fati a été merveilleuse et a rendu notre sejour encore meilleur. Fès est une superbe ville qui permet une immersion directe auprès de la population. Merci pour tout

An incredible experience in Fes Al Bali and an incredible value!

Pros: We loved our stay at Dar Saffeh! Having the whole house was great, the rooftop was very nice. The accommodations, bedding, bathrooms, 3 bedrooms were all great. Fati was excellent and a great help! Edwige et Christophe were incredibly helpful and responsive - helping arrange tours, transfer from train and airport, and answering our questions! Fati who handles breakfast and onsite needs was superb! Very caring, helpful, and a great cook! The location right in the middle of everything was also fantastic. A little unnerving at first being in the middle of the winding roads in Fes Al Bali, but take a tour the first day to get familiar with the place and then it’s easy to get around. The people all over are so warm and welcoming, and helpful when they notice a foreigner is lost. We had many people point us in the right direction, some even walked us to where we wanted to go.

Cons: Steep and narrow stairs inside the house did make it difficult to get up and down - but I guess it’s part of the character of the home. In the winter, heating takes a while to warm up and the main common seating area wasn’t heated so we would stay in the dining room or up in the bedrooms. I wouldn’t say we “didn’t like” the property because of this, but just pointing these out for future visitors who may have more sensitivity to these items.
