Superbe dessert experience ✨
Pros: The location and the campsite are great. Tents are very clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. It's a 45 minute walk to the highest dune. You can either do it on foot or on dromedary. At night there is zero light pollution and the night sky is filled with endless stars. Idir, the manager of the campsite is super friendly and makes sure you feel welcome. I would highly recommend this campsite.
Cons: Noting really. Just be aware it takes around 2 hours from Tagounite by 4x4 to arrive at Erg Chigaga

Amazing Desert Camp. Really in the heart of the desert unlike some of the others. Really amazing.
Pros: We had an amazing stay. The staff were soooo helpful and did everything to ensure our comfort. We are so gratefull for the experience. There are real toilets and plenty of blankets. There are a few extra costs with dinner and 4x4 transport but it's worth it as you're really in the heart of the Sahara.
Cons: We wanted to stay longer haha

A desert paradise
Pros: We loved our two night stay in the desert. The camp was perfect, in the middle of the dunes. What made it so special was the friendly staff who made sure we had an amazing experience. Food was great and in particular we liked the lunch on our second day. It was also great to be able to wash off the sand in the evening and enjoy the music making around the camp fire.

Chigaga was highlight of our trip and this camp made it very memorable. Highly recommended
Pros: Camp is far from the nearest town, nearly 2h drive from Mhamid. If you do not have decent 4x4, book a ride with the host. Since there are not many camps around and access is limited, the place is sooo relaxed, not many people around so it is easy to find a spot just for yourselves. Prices for camel rides very reasonable. There are vast dunes around so just enjoy the space, silence and sand. Camp is well equipped, water, toilets, however be prepared to handle your stay without shower, as hot water may be limited or not existent. Very friendly host made our stay easy and relaxed. Entire team was really nice and helpful. Dinner - good, traditional, but barely enough.
Cons: Breakfast - very limited, simple, nothing special, but I guess considering the place I was not expecting a lot.

Pros: The welcome is very warm, the staff are helpful and cheerful. The tents are basic but clean and supplied with plenty of blankets. The bathroom facilities are basic but fine. The dining room is nice and warm and the atmosphere cosy. Dinner is good, with plenty to eat and tasty. The breakfast isn't particularly interesting but ample. Overall we had an enjoyable stay at the camp and it was a great experience, especially given how far it is from 'civilisation'.
Cons: We hadn't expected a 3-hour trip from Tagounite to the camp as we had read it would be 2 hours. It was more like 2 hours on the way back (to Mhamid). I think the extra time was so we could see a pair of ostriches...it was great to see these but I'm not sure I would have chosen to go out of my way to see them.

Pros: Amazing hospitality and the location in the dessert is so remote and special. They also helped with arranging other activities like riding a quad. SUPER. Definitely recommended to stay at least 2 days, or 3.

Pros: Besides the beautiful sand dune, what we loved was the way to the camp, driven by the camp director, Daoud. The almost three hours way by 4x4 was above expectation. Daoud kindly took some route so that we could see wild animals, such as ostrich and gazelle. We enjoyed his guide and felt very lucky we were able to see the fauna and flora of the Erg Chegaga. At the camp, the staff were friendly and attentive. We felt looked after as a family. We liked the cozy but not too busy decor of the dining rooms.
Cons: We stayed for two nights. The lunch and dinner on the second day had far better spices and taste than the first day. Due to some people's manner, the condition of the shared bathroom was below standard sometimes.

Pros: The place in the middle of the dunes was simply amazing. Food was delicious (best tajin we eat in Morocco). The journey with the off road takes some time, but the scenery is great. We did all of this with a baby 1,5 years old.
