Fantastic Sahara experience with the Berber family

Pros: This is a lovely camp run by a Berber family, where you feel well taken care of from the start to the end of stay. What makes it special is the intimacy of sleeping in a tent on the desert far away from other superficial mega camps, with just enough facilities to make your stay comfortable without loosing the authenticity of the desert camping experience. Hassan’s family is warm and welcoming the guests with many talents of good cooking, singing and dancing, and making sure there is opportunity to socialise, as well as admire the beauty of Sahara in solitude - depending on your preference.

Peace and quiet

Pros: Had an amazing time here, definitely recommend! The location is perfect, it is not in the sand dunes but you’re not surrounded by touristy camps. You can still see them from a distance and it’s only a short walk. Peaceful atmosphere, extremely kind host, drum session in the evening and great (and a lot of) food!

Pros: Remote area away from the turistic area of tents. Very welcoming family and good food. Nice drums session around the fire in the evening.

Cons: About 15 min from the sand dunes, but the family arranged quick transport so that we could also enjoy the dunes.

Pros: The best personal and the best home food from family kitchen. Nice camp in desert. Is not big camp, but small familly camp for relax.

Pros: Exceptional host and hospitality at the camp around the dunes in Merzouga. The cuisine was excellent, and the New Year's night was spent by the campfire, surrounded by local drum music and folk. P.S. The additional 30-minute off-road trip to the campsite was an excellent perk and added to the overall experience.

Superbe et envoûtant !

Pros: Camp familial, au calme, à l'écart des gros camps touristiques, ce qui laisse la possibilité de profiter du silence étonnant du désert et de la beauté du ciel étoilé. Le camp est décoré avec goût et détails. Hassan est adorable , accueillant et soucieux de nous faire découvrir les richesses de son pays et que tout se passe au mieux. Dîner et petit déjeuner copieux et gourmand, une des meilleures tables rencontrées lors de notre séjour au Maroc. Félicitations et merci à l'épouse d'Hassan en cuisine! Transfert en jeep jusqu'au camp et balade à dos de dromadaire organisés par Hassan à un tarif correct.

Cons: Les lits traditionnels sont légèrement plus durs que ceux que nous connaissons en Europe .😉

Dépaysement, bienveillance, émerveillement et rencontres.

Pros: Nous avons été enchantés et émerveillés !!! Hassan est une personne formidable . Sa famille accueillante et adorable. Le lieu calme, a l écart des autres est dingue!!!Une rencontre incroyable…. Grande authenticité.Nous reviendrons, c est sûr!!

Experiencia de Vida

Pros: Experiencia digna de vivir al menos una vez en la vida. Hemos pasado tres noches y lo peor fue la hora que tuvimos que marchar…😥 Acogidos desde el minuto uno por Hassan y toda su familia. Nos mostraron su realidad de vida, y creerme, siempre con una sonrisa. Experiencia súper enriquecedora y recomendable sin dudarlo. Paisaje increíble, tiendas realmente confortables y dunas del desierto a menos de 30min andando, disfrutando del maravilloso ecosistema. GRACIAS!!😁
