Pros: We had a wonderful stay at this guest house. The food was delicious and prepared with care by Mama. We enjoyed day and evening entertainments. The host was the best.

Cons: The only remarks concern the maintenance of the house (for example, a small water leak in the bathroom that needs to be fixed), and, as much as possible—considering the desert dust that gets everywhere—a bit more attention to cleanliness.

The best of Merzouga!

Pros: We had the pleasure of staying at Hassan's place in Morocco, and highly recommend it. From the moment we arrived, Hassan and his mother made us feel right at home with their warm hospitality. Hassan is a true gem – he’s like a one-stop shop, having planned a fantastic itinerary for us that allowed us to experience the best in Merzouga. A highlight of the stay was the food – Hassan's mother cooks the best couscous we’ve ever tasted! She puts in so much love and care into preparing it, and it’s clear that it takes hours, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. The location of the stay is perfect – quiet, peaceful, and just a short distance from the dunes. There’s also free parking available, which is a huge bonus. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for an authentic Moroccan experience!

Pros: Pretty, traditional house in the Merzouga village. We had a very special stay here, thanks to Hassan and his hospitality. He accompanied us to the dunes at night and at sunset. We also met his family and indulged in a bereber pizza made by his mom. Would definitely recommend!

Sahara desert

Pros: If you want to experience what it's like to be a Berber, this house is the right place. The host is very kind, trying to make sure nothing is missing. The house is typical of the Berbers, and the host has put a lot of effort into making sure you feel the spirit of the Berbers and at the same time that nothing is missing from modern life. He recommends trying the homemade traditional Berber dishes.

Pros: What a great place to stay ! Very elegant, traditional, beautifully designed house situated in a quiet part of Merzouga but still very close to hike for sunset or sunrise. Shops and restaurants are in a walking distance, parking is right in front of the door. We felt welcome and comfortable mainly because of the owners – one of them Lahcen was at the place and really made our stay amazing. Offering Berber whisky as a welcome drink and arranging our trips to the desert – you can choose any activity (quads, camels,...) and he will arrange picking you up right at the front door for very reasonable price – definitely better than is offered by agencies. We enjoyed a night walk for gazing at the stars, we talked a lot about their culture and traditional way of life at this place. Nice experience! We recommend this place with all our hearts!

Magic desert 🐫

Pros: Casa Mona is not just a place to sleep but an entire experience of local culture. I highly recommend staying and letting Hamid guide you to discover as much as possible about the desert, the habits and the local population. It was a great experience even though I spent little time, but I hope to make up for it next time.

Pros: The place is authentic and very cosy. The hosts Hamid and Hassan are very friendly and helpful. They also know many activities you can do in the desert, which might be cheaper and better than other options you can find on the internet. I can highly recommend visiting Casa Mona!

Cons: It was a bit cold when we went to bed, because we went there during winther, but that was because the houses are made to withstand heat.
