Merzouga hospitality - we were treated almost like a family
Pros: The host provided us with traditional hospitality and immersive experience program
Cons: Our GPS stopped working properly in the neighborhood, and we had to ask the host to guide us to the house.

Fantastic Berber style house and a great base for exploring Merzouga and the Sahara.
Pros: We actually stayed in Casa Mona as the owner kindly swapped us over as it was 45 degrees and Casa Mona has an aircon unit. It was a beautifully rustic Berber style house. The facilities are simple, but everything worked. The owner was away, but his brother Hassam was excellent. He very kindly set us up with cushioned beds to stargaze on the roof and his mum made us a gorgeous couscous meal! They arranged our quad biking and camel trips into the Sahara too. Highly recommended.
Cons: The owner’s uncle, who’s an experienced tour guide, was a nice guy, but a little overzealous. After a very long drive, we explained that we were very tired and wanted to rest for the evening, but he insisted on taking us on a tour to see Khamlia music and a friend’s shop (which had to be opened especially for us as it was 9pm), assuring us the tour was all free. It was lovely to see the music and we were ultimately happy to tip the musicians, which was expected, but the shop put us under tremendous pressure to buy something, and then he wanted money for taking us on the tour! It wasn’t a great start, but it all just got better from there. Just watch what time of year you’re in Merzouga. The Berber houses do not cope well with extreme heat.

Stop looking , you've found it !
Pros: If you are visiting Merzouga and thinking of booking this place , don't hesitate, just do it ! The hosts are lovely and funny too ! The property is in a beautiful traditional area right next to the main area . It's so peaceful and friendly ! This beautifully furnished private space has everything you need including a washing machine. The hosts organised activities at bargain prices and we had a fantastic and special experience here and highly recommend.
Cons: Everything was perfect.

El Desierto “en familia “
Pros: El alojamiento muy chulo tipico del desierto, HAMID el anfitrión es muy buena gente tanto él como toda su familia sus hermanos, primos y madre! Nos trataron como en casa nos prepararon comida típica marroquí y beréber, nos hizo una excursión por todo Merzouga y dormimos en el desierto con ellos también! 100% recomendable! Habla español perfectamente

Es war ein Erlebnis.
Pros: Es war ein absolutes Erlebnis die Zeit mit Hassan und seiner Familie dort genießen zu dürfen. Wir haben sehr viel gelernt über das Leben und die Kultur und er hat viel Zeit mit uns verbracht. Das authentische Leben in dem Berber-Haus war genau das, was wir erfahren wollten. Es gab ein tolles Willkommensessens und gegen Aufpreis kann man sich jeden Tag wunderbar mit CousCous oder Tajine z.B. verwöhnen lassen. Das Essen war sensationell. Man kann auch viele Events direkt organisieren lassen. So haben wir z.B. eine Nacht im Wüstencamp verbracht (was auch kalt war, aber Zelt, Bad und v.a. das Bett waren super sauber). Auch das können wir sehr empfehlen. Aber alles vielleicht zu einer klimatisch gemäßigteren Zeit!
Cons: Im Haus selbst, hätten wir uns etwas mehr Sauberkeit in der Küche gewünscht - das gesamte Geschirr war schmutzig. Dass es Nachts zu dieser Jahreszeit sehr kalt wird, wussten wir zwar, allerdings nicht, dass es auch einfach in diesem Haus so eiskalt sein würde. Der Kamin hat leider mehr Rauch ins Haus gezogen und die Wärme war sofort verpufft. Hassan war extrem bemüht und hat uns auch einen kleinen Heizstrahler besorgt, aber der half auch nur, wenn man direkt davor saß. Entsprechend ungemütlich waren auch die Nächte. Wir hatten dort einen sehr langen Aufenthalt geplant, aber da dies auch unser einziger Jahresurlaub war, den wir uns gemütlicher vorgestellt hatten, haben wir nach langem Überlegen den Aufenthalt nach 10 Tagen abgebrochen und sind zur wärmen Küste weiter gezogen.

Pros: La décoration très sympa, la terrasse sur le toit, la connexion wifi. L' amabilité du personnel Hamid et Hamed, la qualité du petit déjeuner, et les repas , couscous et tajine délicieux !
