Idyllic perfect hill side get away with gorgeous gardens close enough to Fes and an interesting area to have some day tr
Pros: Perfect luxury and you could do a scramble of a walk up the hills behind the hotel for exercise and a higher view. The view from the hotel was amazing though! The open wood fire in the restaurant was cozy and atmospheric. The gardens and terraces, rugs and outside tent were so beautiful. We were really well looked after. We had 2 nights before our flight from Fes. Loved it all! Thank you to all the staff.

Paradise on earth
Pros: Everything was truly amazing here we rescheduled our vacation to stay here until the end. Hamza and Redouan were absolute superstars and very attentive at all times, a perfect experience can highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Exceptional, wholeheartedly recommend if in the area
Pros: Dar El Mandar is an exceptional gem just outside of Fes. The view from the property is outstanding, especially at sunset. The dinner offered as an option is definitely worth it, and the breakfast is equally good. This is a place where every customer's need and detail is taken care of.

High potential with an amazing view
Pros: The guys running the hotel are very friendly and were always helping out. Food was good, pool was clean (but cold like everywhere in Marocco). Room was nice. The view from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking. Fes is about 45 minute drive which was fine for us.
Cons: Wi-Fi wasn't very good and there are some minor fixes that are missing to make hotel an absolute 10/10. (eg missing lights left and rights, door handle was a bit loose, maintenance stickers still on supplies, ... ). This being said, let it be no reason not to choose this hotel.

Wonderful place
Pros: Every corner of the place was very beautiful and carefully selected with attention to every detail. The room was clean, comfortable and beautiful - the view overall was amazing! The staff was also very attentive and provided us with an incredible private dinner.
Cons: The place itself was perfect, but kids of the other families were very noisy which disturbed the tranquility - something we were not expecting from a place of these standards

A wonderful stay at Dar El Mandar
Pros: Our experience at Dar El Mandar was fantastic. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for disconnecting. Everything was clean, well cared for, and decorated with great taste. We want to especially thank Mehdi, Hamza, and Abderrahim for their kindness, warmth, and professionalism. They made us feel at home from the very first moment. Definitely a place we hope to return to. Thank you for everything!

Nothing short of perfect.
Pros: This was the nicest place we stayed in our entire Morocco trip! The staff were truly exceptional, the view was outstanding and the overall hotel was faultless. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. We ate the set menu of locally sourced Moroccan food every night and it was the best we had on our trip, with something new and fresh everyday. The breakfast was also wonderful. All of the staff were fabulous and couldn’t do enough for us, a big thanks to Fatiha, Alaa, Kaoutar, Wahib, Mehdi and especially Hamza who despite our terrible french went above and beyond. Gorgeous pool, incredible sunset and a truly unique location.
Cons: The road up is a little steep but navigable and totally worth the view.
