Wonderful (and very well priced) Riad and fabulous team to explore Fes

Pros: Newly opened after renovation , Riad Dar Elbar was a hugely welcoming and fabulous stay in Fes. Location just within the medina walls in the south east of the city meant you could explore the wonderful Medina with ease (although note that there is a bit of an uphill climb to the main Souks in case of mobility issues). Mohammed and his team were super welcoming and hugely helpful throughout our stay special- when we arrived on a late train from Marrakech they had prepared a fabulous fish tagine for us which we had in their heated terrace - which was perfect. Breakfast was also equally good with different pastries every day served in the terrace room with views of the city and mountains. Our room was super comfy and renovated in a beautiful traditional style. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality 🙏

Cons: We had a second floor balcony room which abutted the main road so there was a bit of traffic noise so a room on the other side of the property might be quieter for light sleepers

Pros: Selma and her team were very welcoming and flexible. They were ready to help with any kind of problem and we could even store our bike inside! I would recommend this riad very much. Super clean and perfect location :)

Pros: Wonderful place with a magnificent interior design. Mohammed is a great staff who helped us in everything. The food is so delicious and served on the breakfast.

Pros: Mohammed and Salma are the best hosts we had in morocco. Lovely Riad with the true moroccan hospitality. Highly recommended.

Pros: Superbe endroit,, le personnel est très attentionné..Ils peuvent vous organiser des excursions à des tarifs très raisonnabls.De plus la Terrasse au sommet de l'hôtel (en partie abritée) ,vous permet de prendre votre petit déjeuner ( compris dans le tarif de la chambre) face au certains bâtiments emblématique de la ville. Vous pouvez également vous restaurer. Les chambres sont confortables et décoré dans la tradition. du pays. Pour finir les prix sont très doux. Ils parlent anglais et français. Nous conseillons fortement et reviendrons certainement.

Pros: Accueil parfait, conseils appréciés, terrasse agréable permettant de déjeuner de manière très agréable. Demande de changement de chambre acceptée avec le sourire.

Cons: La première chambre donnant sur l'avenue est trop bruyante. Evacuation de la douche à améliorer.

Beautiful riad and excellent hospitality

Pros: We experienced genuine Moroccan hospitality here. Mohammed and his colleague took wonderful care of us throughout our stay. The riad is beautiful, the breakfast was the best we had in Morocco and it was served on the rooftop with a panoramic view over the city. If you can't climb the stairs, breakfast can also be served in your room or by the lovely pool in the inner courtyard. Perfect location for an authentic experience, yet without the hustle of the heart of the medina. Only a minute from a main street, so you do not have to navigate the narrow labyrinths of alleyways for too long dragging your luggage until you find your accommodation. Rooms were clean, there was a heater, as well as AC.

Cons: There didn’t seem to be a way to open the bathroom window, which made it difficult for the moisture to escape. As a result, the room stayed a bit humid for a long time after showering. Not a dislike, but just an advice for those who have difficulty climbing stairs - I think there is only one room on the first floor, so make sure you try to book that one if you have bad knees like my mom and want to avoid stairs.

Pros: The best welcome to Fez, from Mohammed and all the staff, true Moroccan hospitality. Delicious traditional Moroccan food, I’d highly recommend eating in the restaurant. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The decoration / interior design of the Riad is exquisite
