Sunrise Palace Merzouga

Lovely stay

Pros: Sunrise Palace is a very special place. After two days in a camp we spent a night in this beautiful place. I will mention the food first as it was outstanding, lunch-dinner-and breakfast. The staff is very welcoming and warm. The hotel is beautifuly decorated, and the gardens are very serene. The room we had was spacious, clean and very pleasant.

Pros: I don’t have to think twice—this was one of the best stays I’ve ever had, and I travel a lot. The staff and food were exceptional, the rooms big, stylish and comfortable and having the place almost to ourselves made the experience even more special. Everything was perfect, and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. The pool and the surrounding is so beautiful! We only had a small car and we still had no problem getting there , just know that at some point the regular road ends and you ll have to go really slow to get to the Hotel since its a sandy gravel road. My advice is to get there while its still bright!

Pros: The palace is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities you need. Our room for three people was very large and decorated nicely with good air-conditioning and the beds were very comfortable. The pool and surrounding area are spectacular and a great place to relax with the big dunes in the background. We had dinner next to the pool and the food was some of the best we have had in Morocco. Each dish was nicely prepared and presented with flair. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Pros: Excellent staff, swimming pool is amazing, and we have surprised food every day

Cons: Need add fridge in the room, and the internet should update

Pros: Clean property with attentive staff. Located a little further from the dunes then we were expecting. Hosts were friendly and always available to help

Wonderful stay

Pros: The location, property and staff were all excellent.

Cons: The approach to the property from the road is not great. We were driving a sedan so some heads up and guidance to reach the property would have been great.

Pros: This place is amazing. I couldn't believe how quiet it was, great for us but such an injustice for the hotel and staff because it is one of the most amazing places I have stayed. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The pool was a good size and a lovely place to sit and relax with a view of the dunes. Food was incredible and massive portions. Definitely recommend doing the quad bike trip, so much fun. On our last night they did songs around the firepit - we didn't go as my wife was tired and wanted to get to bed for our early start the next day but I watched from the window and feel we really missed out!

Cons: The road to access the hotel isn't much of a road so took it very easy in our rental car which wasn't 4x4. However, it was still fine and only added to the feeling of remoteness in the desert which is exactly what adds to this place being so great.

Best place to stay when you want to visit the desert in a quiet and non touristic area.

Pros: The property looks amazing and is at a top location in the desert. It’s quiet, has beautiful decoration and the smell is great. Hassan and Mouha did everything to make our stay great. We were warmly welcomed and they cooked traditional Moroccan food for us (a lot of food!). They also arranged a sunset quad tour and sunrise excursion with camels. It was all seamless! Thank you Hassan and Mouha!
