Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Road Rayhana. The staff were excellent - Salah was super helpful regarding everything! Arranged taxi to and from the airport, made adjustments to it as we needed, made sure we had umbrellas when it started raining, very flexible with the rooms etc. and made the experience fantastic! Omar was helpful as well. The breakfast was very good with different traditional food on 2 different days! Couldn't recommend enough.
Cons: Very happy with the stay. As with everything in Fes, we have to get used to finding our way back to the Riadh - despite this it's very central and about less than 10 mins walk to the blue door.

Wonderful staff in fascinating location, clean, comfortable. Be a good navigator without many bags.
Pros: We were there three nights. The staff were fantastic -- helpful, friendly and informative. Omar in particular went out of his way to help us, starting with a WhatApp message many hours before we arrived. Salih was also very helpful. There isn't much protein for breakfast, but otherwise it was excellent. We liked the location, buried deep withing the Medina, but keep in mind it's about a 650 meter walk from Bab Boujloud (no vehicles allowed), walking right through the busy market and then you have to navigate some unobvious and narrow back streets. Once you figure out the way it's great, but expect to get lost once or twice. The room was clean and much bigger than we expected, with very nice traditional decorations. The heating system worked well (it was chilly in Fes when we were there, getting down to only +4 at night) and there was hot water for shower, which worked well.
Cons: The only complaint we had at all was that there was no shower curtain or floor edge such that after every shower the entire bathroom floor was a puddle even if we aimed the water towards the back wall. There should at least be a rubber strip on a pole or stick so that one can scrape the water to the drain after showering. It would also be nice for there to be a sign pointing to the hotel along the main walking street (there are for other Riads, so why not this one?) and at the turns on the side streets so it's easier to find. Google Maps shows the streets correctly but sometimes leads you wrong depending on which direction you approach from (use it for your position but do your own navigation).

Traditional riad in a great location, with a few drawbacks
Pros: This riad is in a good location, around a five-minute walk to the Blue Gate, right in the old medina but down quieter streets, so it stayed peaceful at night. The building itself is beautiful and traditional. We stayed in a quadruple room on the lower floor as a group of three, which worked well as we each had our own bed. For the location, it felt like decent value. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and we were welcomed with Moroccan mint tea on arrival, which was a nice touch. Overall, it’s a decent base for exploring Fez, for a short stay.
Cons: The staff were pleasant, but they weren’t as friendly or helpful as previous reviews had led us to expect. It felt like the most welcoming staff member may not have been there during our stay. When it came to recommendations or advice, we didn’t feel especially encouraged to ask, and a quoted price for a tour guide felt quite expensive, which made things slightly uncomfortable. When we asked for help organising a taxi, we were told it would be at tourist prices, so we arranged things ourselves instead. The bathroom was also quite small and wet-room style, so the floor gets soaked whenever someone showers which is common in Morocco but still a frustration. Also the bathroom ventilation was poor and there was a sewage unpleasant smell, which was noticeable for the person sleeping closest to the bathroom door.

Pros: The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. They had everything you might need. The breakfast was both very diverse and freshly prepared. More importantly, the staff were excellent. Especially Omar and Nurdin were incredibly helpful in every way. They accompanied us so we wouldn’t walk alone early in the morning, and when we got lost in the maze-like streets of the medina, they came to pick us up from our location. Since we were joining a tour during our 2-night stay, they prepared an early breakfast pack for us. And they were always smiling. In short, they gave us a perfect accommodation experience.
Cons: Everything was incredible

Pros: I’m so glad I chose Riad Rayhana for my stay in Fes. The riad is full of charm, the staff are genuinely kind, and the breakfast was a highlight every morning. It truly felt like home away from home.
