An excellent choice.
Pros: Dar El Bali sits right in the middle, just off the main street on Rue Talaa Sghira that leads from the Bab el Jaloud ( Blue Gate )to the Medina. So access is really easy and convenient. The hosts, Elodie, her parents Katherine and Michel have lovingly restored this exquisite bed and breakfast with each room having a theme, great attention to detail from furnishings to food. They made our stay special with their warm hospitality , gave us great advice on where to dine and shop. The breakfasts were varied and during our 4 day stay, an excellent spread with homemade yogurt, preserves, excellent mix of Moroccan meets European. I was lucky to get the ground floor room, the other rooms need strong legs😀 but no complaints from the rest of the group. Dar El Bali was just the place for our final farewell to a fabulous 14 day holiday in Morocco.
Cons: There was nothing that we didn’t like

Lovely stay in Fes
Pros: Five star Riad. Very professional and friendly at the same time. Beautiful place with a great ambience. Probably the best shower in the entire Morocco. It is located out of the way but quite central in terms of Medina. Breakfast was lovely. Strongly recommend.
Cons: I think the terrace which is great could do with some extra attention to make it a little bit more special. It would be a great place to chill out if staying for longer than a couple of nights. It is a suggestion rather than a criticism :)

A well maintained boutique accommodation
Pros: A lot of attention to detail has been put in by the managing staff to make the stay cosy.
Cons: The narrow stairs to the the upper rooms can be a trial for a tall person

Perfect riad to hide from the buzzing souk on the doorstep
Pros: We had a wonderful stay, felt very welcomed and enjoyed the ambience of the riad. The interior is divine, with the traditional tiling and thoughtful detail everywhere you look. We were very pleased to get a breakfast box on the last day as our train to Marrakech was very early. It was a very nice touch and we enjoyed it on our journey.
Cons: It is a small riad and a beautiful quiet place to relax from the buzzing medina, however I would have loved a chill area of sort outside of the room, perhaps a sofa corner. But again, riad was fairly small so perhaps there was no room for that. Our room however was very spacious.

Beatiful old Riad in the medina
Pros: The Riad is well located in the Medina and is very beautifully decorated. The rooms are nice and big. Its very clean and taken care of. Breakfast was big and good.
Cons: If u book the groundfloor room, be aware that there are only windows to the public area. So not much fresh air and circulation. Also there is not much privacy cause it opens to the public area. I felt a bit exposed.
