Fantastic riad in Foum Zguid

Pros: We felt very welcome right away by friendly and helpful Said. The rooms are small but cozy and there’s actually everything we needed for one night. Even the pool! I would definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area.

Pros: Riad Assia was a literal oasis after a windy and sand-swept drive from the west. Said was a great host. The afternoon walk through the old Foum El Hench Kasbah (next door) was an unexpected delight. Dinner and breakfast was great. We'll be back!

Cons: The matrasse of the double beds are too soft. (The single ones are OK)

Pros: Nice ambience and setting, clean and comfortable rooms, and great service from staff Hussein. We have stayed here twice and will return again!

Cons: Bed was a little hard but that’s personal preference.

Great choice if in Foum Zguid

Pros: Very helpful staff who cooked a great dinner. The breakfast was ok but probably the most basic we had while travelling around Morocco for 10 days.

Pros: The courtyard area was beautiful and a lovely place to relax with our family. The owner was so genuinely welcoming and kind and we enjoyed talking with him and learning more about the history of the area and the Berber people. It was the only place over the Atlas Mountains we got a good strong consistent supply of hot water in the shower. We are so happy we stayed here.

Cons: Foum Zguid is a bit of an unusual town. A good place to launch a visit into the Sahara areas, but there isn’t much attraction for the town itself.
