Riad with a soul. Spacious room, great breakfast and super nice, helpful host.

Pros: Nicely decorated, with a spacious room and bathroom. Delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. The riad is located in the heart of the Medina, which can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but after some time we got used to it and absolutely loved it. During our two‑week trip around Morocco we stayed in several riads, and this one is definitely unforgettable — it truly has a soul.

Cons: During the winter season it can get a bit cold. The AC heating wasn’t sufficient for such a high ceiling and large space.

Highly recommend for an authentic and memorable stay in Fez

Pros: This traditional Moroccan guesthouse is located inside the ancient medina of Fez. It’s best to call the host in advance—they will arrange for someone with a luggage cart to meet you at the parking area and help you check in smoothly. The house itself is a stunning 600-year-old traditional Moroccan residence, beautifully decorated and full of historic charm. Breakfast was also excellent, offering a delicious start to each day.

Cons: We stayed during Christmas. The only downside was that both the heating and hot water were a bit limited. It might also get quite warm here in summer, so I’d recommend checking reviews from guests who stayed in warmer months. That said, this is Morocco—facilities and conditions are different from what you’d expect in more developed countries. Even so, I still give it a full 10/10 for its charm, space, and authentic experience.

Pros: Lovely Riad to base your exploration of the medina, & Layla was very responsive & helpful, enjoyed our lovely breakfasts.

Cons: Although we requested 3 single beds only two were made up when we arrived quite late, quickly remedied the next day.

Amazing stay in the old Fes in an old riad.

Pros: Exceptional location in the old Fes. Very kind and professional managing lady (Layla). Very good breakfast and also dinner (which I requested one evening). The room was spacious with amazing decorations.

Cons: The bed was a little bit short.
