Maison d'hôte ''J''

Pros: Ismael our host was a highlight of our Morroco trip. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helped us out in so many ways. I can't wait to return. The house is beautiful. Overlooking the Draa valley with an incredible balcony and very tastefully decorated. The mountain views, the local people and the location of the accommodation. Was enough to make this a favourite on my Morroco trip. Don't consider. Just book

A peaceful escape

Pros: The location is unique in the ruins of a ksar from the 16th century. There are some people who still live there. The surrounding valley of Draa with the palm trees and tranquility. The sunsets and sunrises. The whole area is so peaceful, there are no sellers, no cars, no noise. Ismael was super helpful and a pleasure to talk to. The terrace with the view of the valley.

Cons: I expected a bit more from the breakfast but it was ok.

We actually rested here, loved it

Pros: After 2 weeks traveling in Morocco we found this place and instead of 1 night staying here we are already 3 days here-this place is amazing, quiet, with great view to mountains and palms from terrace. Room is really cozy, really clean, heating works and water (also hot) works perfectly as well. One of the best stays so far here in Morocco, highly recommended for those who are a bit tired from noise and people.

Cons: All perfect

Pros: Unique location in the ruins, and we basically got a whole house for the price of a room. Very beautiful place and very friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: Very difficult to find if you're driving with google maps, ask the staff about parking directions.

Exceptional stay in a historic place

Pros: We spent 1 night on a stopover, we had the whole house for ourselves, hot shower, and warm, cozy rooms

Very authentic Moroccan apartment

Pros: We met Ismael, the host, at the pre-arranged time and location. He was very kind and friendly, and personally guided us to the apartment, located at the end of a small street in an almost completely uninhabited village. We arrived while it was still light outside, which was helpful, as the narrow streets are not illuminated at night. The apartment itself is very authentic; unlike most of the surrounding buildings, it has been nicely renovated. The interior was clean and well-organized. From the terrace we had a beautiful view of the palmary and the mountains. It is an extremely quiet place, as no one lives in the immediate area. Ismael shared a lot of useful information and was incredibly helpful—within a short time he even arranged for a local resident to give us a guided tour of the village, including the kasbah and many interesting sights. We enjoyed a peaceful night, and in the morning we watched the sunrise from the terrace. A truly unique and memorable experience.

Pros: If you’re looking for an authentic place to stay away-from-it-all in the Draa Valley, I would really recommend Maison d’Hote J. A cosy room with a terrace overlooking the eden-like palm grove in this semi-abandoned village near Agdz. Quiet and peaceful - and with Ismael, a helpful and friendly host.

Pros: If you want authentic, then this place is an absolute must. Incredible setting, and the host looked after us so well. Thoroughly recommend staying.

Good surprise

Pros: The place it well decorated with a good test. The bed it s confortable. We add hot shower and all what we expected.

Cons: The place in the ksar it unique, we really love it. The terrasse with the view on the palmerai it s a plus

Pros: Maison J is very spacious with an authentic style. The view from the terrace was beautiful. The whole place was out of this world. Ismael gave us a warm welcome and looked after us the whole time. His wife cooked us dinner. They were the perfect hosts. Me and my 2 boys are very grateful of their hospitality.
