Yumcha Yamcha!

Pros: We travelled around Morocco for three weeks and Riad Yamcha was by far our favourite of all the places we stayed. French owners Gerald & Evelyn have created a stylish, hospitable haven with their team. Special mention must be made of Marianne, who provides the very best breakfasts, the best of our entire trip, actually.

Cons: It would be a huge plus if Riad Yamcha added a fixed-price cost of the baggage-trolley from the car park to Riad Yamcha. We found it a little stressful when the trolley-man pushed for more and more money.

Great!

Pros: Everything was absolutely gorgeous in this riad! A good combination of a typical property in central Meknes and a modern-day design, with touches of local charm! The staff were absolutely kind, attentive and smiling! Loved it!!

Cons: Everything, including the two house cats!

The best accomodation in Morocco for us.

Pros: What a lovely place! Very nice riad, the best stay in our ~10 accomodations vacations in Morocco. Close distance to old medina, building itself is beautyful, staff is great and food is delicious. Room was specious and wonderfully renovated. Can't praise enough, would love to stay again if in Meknes.

Cons: Just had one night and would love to have more time:)

Pros: Great room, warm and stylish. And tasty dinners with a nice glass of something. Fabulous value

Pros: Beautiful riad, easily accessible from the car parking, wonderful staff, delicious food (breakfast and dinner alike) and beautifully decorated warm room

Very new Riad, I would recommend

Pros: Very new. Comfortable beds. Cool design and very attentive staff.

Cons: The owner was not there so some little things were not looked after (for example the smell of cooking going on all day) .

Fantastic Riad and wonderful services

Pros: I suppose the Riad is the best house in Meknes old town. The Riad is very quiet and the location is close to most tourist attractions. The room is big and very clean. Especially the ladies working in the Riad are very friendly. The breakfast is marvelous. We think it’s our absolutely the right choice to stay in Riad Yamaha.

The Riad is a beautiful building well kept and a relaxing place.

Pros: Breakfast was very good. The location was ok. Riad Yamca is located in the old medina. Transport to train station or coach station was limited, had wait a long time to wave down a taxi from street corner.

Amazing but something missing

Pros: Nice room and bathroom was big and spacious. We had the meal at night which required pre ordering. The food was amazing and very tasty. Hanan was very kind and made us feel very welcomed.

Cons: Cost of the meal was a little expensive but the amount given was generous so couldn't complain. We had a car but parking was an issue and there wasn't much guidance given.

A King´s palace in the middle of Meknes Medina.

Pros: The Riad is amazing and one of the best I´ve seen in Morocco. Beautiful renovated architecture but blended in with modern and stylish elements. A heavenly indoor patio with plants and trees, sitting benches, comfortable seats, rest area, music, a playroom with books &games available. The staff were very friendly and going the extra-mile. The room was again decorated superbly, simple but effective, high ceilings, wooden doors & windows. Superb bathroom, just missed a bit more soaps or gels. The roof terrace looks over Meknes and has sunbeds and loungers, it was a bit too hot for me at that moment. Breakfast was served in the patio, an abundance of fruit juices, cakes, breads, jams, fruit, eggs, too much too mention and too much to eat. Highly recommended.

Cons: The parking is a square at the start of the Medina which is guarded by attendants and supposedly by cameras. It cost me 70DH, it is not really a very nice place to leave your vehicle as it is surrounded by workshops, the next morning I found my bike covered in fine dust. If you have luggage there are people with a small push kart that can bring you to the guesthouse, 30DH one way.
