Nice!

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay! The owner was extremely friendly and willing to help with everything. The accommodation is basic, but you know that in advance. The village was very charming to wander around, with its small streets, the local school, the market, and of course the beautiful view from “the terrace.” Dinner at this accommodation was among the best of our entire trip to Morocco and is therefore absolutely recommended! Come with the right expectations and the right mindset, and you will truly enjoy this stay.

Exceptional hospitality in a family home hotel

Pros: Exceptional hospitality in a family home hotel, where we were welcomed warmly. Our hosts were knowledgable about local history and culture. Our cosy room on the top terrace had fantastic views. Thank you very much to the owners for a memorable stay.

Brilliant family run place.

Pros: Bear in mind this hasn't necessarily got all the comforts of a city hotel, but (I) Your hosts make you feel part of the family (ii) If you get a rooftop room, the view, especially at dusk, is magical (iii) If you eat in, it's surely the best restaurant in town (iv) The town centre is two minutes away. (v) It's a superb base for the walk to volubilis

Cons: Nothing to say here. Very glad we made the trip away from the cities.

Best view ever!

Pros: The riad is hard to find. Best is to follow a local guide which will probably approach you to show you the riad for some MAD. I got a room at the rooftop with a stunning view over Moulay Idris, the valley and even Volubilis. The riad is family owned and the owners are so friendly and helpful and they cook the best food in whole morocco! I recommend staying here.

Pros: The Dar is very nice. The owner and his family are kind and always available. The breakfast and the dinner were great.

Pros: Mr Mohammed was extremely kind. We had a nice room with bathroom and heater for the night (it's Winter). Very large breakfast. We had dinner at there: very good portions and food quality for reasonable prices Parking close by (20 DH for the night)

Pros: We had the room on top with a beautiful view over Moulay Idris. The food was delicious and almost too much. The people were very kind and the host picked us up at the public parking lot neraby the hotel. There is a guy who watches the cars at night for like 20/30 dirhams per night. When you take a shower, they ask you to collect the cold water cause it takes a bit till warm water is there (which we thought was a good thing to do in terms of sustainability, they water their plants with the water).

Cons: At 5am the prayers were the loudest we experienced throughout our whole trip through morocco, but that's part of touring through morocco and can be easily fixed with earplugs.

Charming old house, great views, wonderful hosts

Pros: Lovely old house, wonderful hosts who are incredibly friendly. Great evening meal for 110DH, catered for us as vegetarian, too much food to finish! We got the top floor room (14) which has its own terrace with great views. Intrepid tour were also staying when we were there and been going for years so that speaks volume for the hospitality and comfort of the old house which has been in the family for several generations and they live in the house too. Moulay idriss is an authentic place with friendly locals and few tourists. Great location, not far from the main plaza. We managed our bags but some used donkeys to carry their luggage. About 3 km walk to Volubllis, can see it from the terrace.

Lovely place, with amazing people!!

Pros: The people are very nice and helpful. We got to choose which room we wanted and had an amazing view over Moulay Idriss.
