Pros: Youssef was a nice and funny host, he did an introduction about the Medina for us and how to get around. He also cooked for us and the dinner was good.
Cons: Sometimes there was a bad smell, but this is coming from the Medina.

good spot for exploring Fes
Pros: We had a wonderful time in Fes, and Youssef the host came to pick us up from the parking lot, which wasn’t far from the accommodation in the old town. Also he explained how things works in the Medina when we arrived, which was really helpful as it’s easy to get lost there. He also recommended a very comfortable hammam and a great restaurant. Youssef is always informative - to help with anything you need in the riad and medina, and is a great businessman. The room was very comfortable, and the interior and decor were just as beautiful and cozy as shown in the photos. The riad has large windows offering a great view of the old town, and the breakfast was quite varied and satisfying.
Cons: We didn’t encounter any issues during our stay. The riad provided hot water and heating during the winter, so it was very comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience

Great stay, better than expected
Pros: This Riad has well exceeded my expectations. Youssef really took a good care of his guests by anticipating their needs. From the moment of check in, useful and helpful information was given about the Riad and the surrounding, and how to get oneself oriented within the confusing maze of Fez's medina. He also mentioned about potential harassments that tourists may face while navigating the Median and how to handle them. Quite helpful indeed. Above all, I felt Youssef showed genuine care and attention towards his guests, as opposed to superficial performative gestures one encountered in most establishments nowadays. A rare find indeed. I would definitely stay there again should I go back to Fez. Highly recommended!

Pros: Our stay in Riad Zaya Fes was absolutely perfect, mainly thanks to Youssef and his team. He was in contact with us even before our arrival, providing all the necessary information and organizing everything very well. He explained clearly how to reach the parking area, met us there personally, helped with our luggage, and made our arrival completely stress-free. Youssef was almost available around the clock, extremely helpful, and very well organized. He also arranged the airport transfer, which worked smoothly and reliably. Throughout our stay, he gave us plenty of useful information about the city and great tips for sightseeing and excursions. We felt very well taken care of at all times. Thank you very much, Youssef, for your outstanding support and hospitality!

Pros: A gem within the medina of Fez, a good base for exploring the historic center. The staff is very careful and attentive to customers, assisting with everything from general guidance to practical recommendations.Beautiful view from the terrace, one of the most beautiful in the city at sunrise.
Cons: Just one thing to consider: there are several staircases, which may be a limiting factor for some people.

Stunning riad and truly caring host
Pros: Zaya Fes is a beautifully restored riad with spacious, comfortable rooms, and the view from the central area is spectacular! Breakfast was decent and, unlike other riads we stayed in before, it was also amazingly quiet (though that might have been good luck). What really made us give it a 10, however, was Youssef’s hospitality. Traveling as a gay couple in Morocco isn’t always easy, but Youssef treated us like anyone else and made sure we had a great time - from visiting the medina with a guide to taking a day trip to Ifrane and the surrounding areas, and even an overnight trip to the Sahara Desert.
