Riad Palais Marouane

Good location and comfortable stay

Pros: Beautiful central area with carved plasterwork. Good breakfasts and very good evening meals. Loved the Valentine’s Day rose for my wife. Sorted out the mixup over the bill amicably

Cons: Rooms a bit dark . Very windy while we were there and it was noisy overnight with the plastic cover of the central area. Google maps a bit misleading over the location

A pleasant place to stay in the old city in Meknes.

Pros: Breakfast was good and the terrace on the roof was a nice place to eat early in the day before it became HOT. The host was helpful and welcoming.The room and bathroom were a good size. The AC was working. The decor was agreeably Moorish.The Host arranged a taxi and driver for me to visit Volubilis( the Roman ruins ) which were very absorbing and a nice change from being in busy urban environments. There is a laundrette a short distance from the Riad.Ask for the Masbana.The major sights of Meknes are a short walk from the Riad.

Cons: The veg. Tagine served at the Riad for dinner was more like Ratatouille, since it was aimed at a mostly Francophone clientele. Taxi drivers are not interested in taking people to this part of the old city from the train station.I had to walk the whole way with my luggage in the blazing heat!. Maybe arrange a transfer with the Riad if this trudge does not appeal to you. Locals give good directions in French which were super helpful unlike the misdirections you get looking for things in Northern India.

Pros: Perfect location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Sofiane coocked great, very tasty dishes for us. Highly recommended!!!

Beautiful riad with an amazing host; perfect base for exploring Meknes.

Pros: Our stay at Riad Palais Marouane in Meknes was truly wonderful. The riad itself is absolutely beautiful, with a pristine and inviting atmosphere that perfectly captures the charm of Moroccan architecture. Its location is fantastic, just a short walk from Bab Raiss and close to several key sights in Meknes, which was ideal for our brief visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious dinner at the riad, complemented by a couple of bottles of wine, and the breakfast, while simpler, was also very good. What truly made our stay exceptional was Sofian, who was an amazing host and cook, making us feel incredibly welcome.

Cons: Honestly, there was very little to dislike about Riad Palais Marouane.

Pros: Central location, very good breakfast, helpful and friendly hosts who also cook, so there is a possibity to have dinner right at the riad. We enjoyed the entries and the Moroccan wine.

Cons: The room was very dark, but I guess it’s a typical thing for such places.

Pros: Superb location, genuine moroccan experience, the owners and the staff very involved in the guests' well-being. Recommended for having a taste of the moroccan dream. Located in the old town and allowing to see the beauty of Meknes from a convenient distance.
