Berbère Palace

Probably the best hotel in Ouarzazate. Pricey but comfortable.

Pros: I loved the swimming pool and my bedroom (a suite with 2 bedrooms). Everything is clean and new. Heating working. A change from staying in the classical ryads.

Cons: The food could be more interesting. And the restaurant is ok, but a bit anonymous. The restaurant à la carte is basically a pizzeria.

Perfect place to explore the region

Pros: The whole environment, gardens, pool area… the rooms were really warm and comfortable although we had extremely cold days

Cons: The restaurants were not all open and so we had only two options but was kind of ok. Extremely friendly staff there. We had several mosquitoes in our room which is really annoying…

Highly recommended

Pros: I had an issue with my bank cancelling my second booking. The staff went out of their way to help and I ended up getting a better room.

Cons: Check in can be very slow.

Pros: Very nice hotel and very nice room. Super quiet and comfortable. The pool area is very nice. Dinner by the pool and with live music was great. There are here and there sets from movies which entertained our kids.

Cons: There was an issue with the price charged. They used a daily rate in dirhams and a fixed exchange rate from the hotel which resulted in 10% more Euros in my credit card. I asked to be charged in my card directly in Euros the amount shown in my reservation but they insisted this was not possible. Even though the booking had written in bold letters the amount to be charged there were endless discussions with the employee. The manager was not available to resolve the issue so I finally gave up. I was only able to compensate the difference at check out when I demanded it would be subtracted from my dinner restaurant expense. Not something I would have expected from such a good quality hotel. Unnecessary stress that could be avoided with better trained personnel at check in.

Pros: We had an issue of readiness of our room. The Directeur of Hebergement Mr. Oubrik Mbarek did an excellent job in quickly resolving the issue by extending an upgrade.

Pros: The front desk persons were ok. The rest of the staff was really nice.

good for 1-2 nights, but don’t expect too much! Definitely summer time is a better time to visit!

Pros: Nice big room with big bathroom, nice garden and pool with many sitting areas and outside bar, good breakfast, but horrible coffee. Nice bar with fireplace!

Cons: The coffee at breakfast! Hammam and massage are ok, but there’s no area to lay down afterwards and relax. Once done, you have to get dressed quickly and leave. Even for the sauna you have to pay 300,-MAD for a ridiculous 30 minutes session!!! Sylvester dinner was overpriced with 1950,-MAD per person. Poor food quality, no champagne at midnight, poor entertainment with the worst belly dancer ever who was done in 5 minutes … and at 12.20 the party was over!
