Pros: My night in Merzouga was calm and unforgettable. Watching the sunset over the golden dunes was magical, and the silence of the desert felt deeply peaceful. At night, the sky was full of bright stars, and sitting by the campfire with traditional music created a warm, special atmosphere. Waking up to the sunrise over the dunes was a beautiful and quiet moment that made the experience truly memorable.

Overall a wonderful experience in the desert.
Pros: The location in the desert is amazing. The domes were fun to watch the stars and sun come up in the mornings. The terrace was great to sit in the evenings.
Cons: Some domes did not have outdoor seating. The domes were advertised with air conditioning but they do not work at all. It would be impossible to stay in the tents after breakfast.

Pros: The night I spent in Merzouga felt like time had slowed down. The dunes glowed softly under the fading sun, and a quiet peace settled over everything. Our Berber hosts welcomed us with open hearts their warmth as comforting as the mint tea they poured. Dinner was simple yet unforgettable, filled with flavors that seemed to tell stories of the desert itself. As the fire crackled, the rhythm of drums began to rise, echoing through the sand and into the stars above. Laughter, music, and silence blended together in perfect harmony. I remember lying back, looking at a sky so full of stars it almost didn’t seem real. In that moment, surrounded by the vastness of the Sahara, I felt both incredibly small and deeply connected to everything. Merzouga isn’t just a place you visit it’s a moment that stays alive in your soul.

Pros: That night in Merzouga felt like stepping into another world. The desert stretched endlessly, bathed in golden light as the sun disappeared behind the dunes. Our Berber hosts welcomed us with kindness that needed no words warm smiles, sweet mint tea, and laughter that carried on the breeze. Dinner was a feast of flavor and simplicity, each bite seasoned with tradition and care. As darkness fell, the camp glowed softly under lanterns, and the sound of drums and voices rose into the night. The rhythm of Berber music mixed with the whisper of the sand alive, ancient, and full of soul. Sitting by the fire, under a sky crowded with stars, everything felt still, infinite, and deeply human. Merzouga isn’t just a place you visit; it’s a feeling that stays with you long after the desert fades.

Amazing once in a life time experience
Pros: The location and view of dunes is out of the world
Cons: The aircon didn’t work but it was ok as it was not hot. The generators sometime cut and the wifi from the camps is very weak. However it’s the Sahara desert so some things are expected and would definitely go again. I still loved it

Pros: Spending a night in Merzouga was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality of the Berber hosts made us feel instantly at home so genuine, welcoming, and full of heart. The food was delicious and authentic, full of flavors I’ll never forget, especially the tagine under the stars. The camp itself was beautiful nestled in the golden dunes, lit by lanterns, and designed with stunning Berber touches that gave everything a magical, earthy charm. As the night settled in, the rhythm of Berber drums and traditional music around the fire created an atmosphere that was both soulful and lively. There was something deeply calming about sitting under the endless desert sky, just chilling and soaking in the silence between songs. The stars above Merzouga shine brighter than anywhere else. Truly a night that touches your soul.

Great potential
Pros: The location is truly wonderful. We took ATVs to the tented camp, which was a thrilling experience and went to the highest dune. Parking was free and shaded but we needed to drive a little off road to get to the parking. Highly recommend requesting a sunset camel ride from the camp and NOT from the parking. The ride from the parking gets too long and uncomfortable whereas sunset you get amazing photos and just enough camel time. The staff were very kind and helpful in organising all the activities we were interested in.
Cons: The dinner was overpriced and the chicken tagine was overcooked and very dry. There is no aircon in any of the units. The water pressure in the shower is very low. The tents are extremely hot during the day and only comfortable after 5pm. Our experience with communication and planning activities with Nomad was very difficult with lots of misunderstanding. Checkin is only from 3pm even though bookings.com shows different. Also the do not respond via whatsapp.
