Dar Golden Ziat

Our favourite place in Morocco

Pros: The place is absolutely stunning and the staff is really kind and helpful. They serve delicious breakfasts too. We loved our stay in Dar Golden Ziat and really hope we can stay again in the future.

Pros: The location is good, and it’s very close to Medina’s old town. The staff are enthusiastic, and responsible. They helped us with our suitcases , assisted us with parking, provided us with map, and always had a cheerful smile . The rich breakfast is served on the rooftop, offering a good view of the surrounding area.

Pros: Beautiful Dar on the outskirts of the medina, not too far from the blue gate, also nearby hills accessible by walking. It was really quiet during the night and a/c worked perfectly. Special thanks to Abdel and Reddouane who was extremely helpful with anything we might have needed. Abdel gave us good tips for visiting the medina and would have also arranged a guided tour if needed. They upgraded our room without a fee, hospitality was top notch, the room spotlessly clean and cleaned daily. My wife had a stomach illness and Reddouane was so kind and helpful with everything. The cleaning ladies washed our laundry for a tip. Breakfast was the best we've had in Morocco and the rooftop is beautiful.

Superb!!!

Pros: I can not recommend this Riad enough!! What you get for the price has exceeded my expectations!! Super comfy bed, amazinggg hot shower pressure, ac/heating in the room! Could not have asked for anything else after coming back from big long day of travelling. Ahmed is so lovely and helpful! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, good bread, omelete, delicious couscous and cake, freshly squeeze juice! Honestly I was so positively surprised with how much you get for the price of the night. I don’t get people like in the other review saying that it’s unusual for paying in the first night? Don’t know where they get that from.. all my trips I pay either prior or on the day of the stay. Also about having to keep it down, yes, it’s Riad, which means smaller and more considerate to others in regards of silence. Nothing unusual there.

Nice stay in the medina. Felt very welcomed.

Pros: The location is great to explore the medina. The property is freshly renovated and beautifuly decorated. Our room was comfortable. The owner and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good, served on a roof terrace with some beautiful views. We enjoyed out stay.

Fantastic family run place in Fez

Pros: Beautiful place in Fez - family owned and run with a lot of care to make us feel at home :) the place has been renovated start of 2025 with a lot of taste. It’s really a beautiful place to be. Delicious brekkie and very spacious room. Easy communication with the owner and easy parking close by.

Pros: Awesome place, very well decorated, clean and located just at the doorstep of the medina. The family who run it are all great and really helpful with everything.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind honestly.

Pros: Really friendly staff, we had a lovely room. Great breakfast and loved having mint tea afterwards. They let us leave our bags as we had a late flight.
