Riad Al Makan Fes & Spa

Wonderful stay

Pros: The Riad is beautiful, in a great location near the medina, the food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and super helpful. We had issue with our Maroc Telecom SIM card when we arrived and in a few clicks the staff in reception sorted it out. Always ready to help and always smiling. Thank you to Merieme, Soufiane and the rest of the team for making our stay wonderful. The rooftop is a great place to chill / unwind. We stayed in the annex, not the main building. We would definitely stay there again.

Cons: Suggestions: For the hand soap: we were there for 5 days. We would have been happy to use the same soap for the duration of our stay. It seemed a bit of a waste to have a new hand soap everyday For the bathroom: maybe build a shelf underneath the sink as there is not much space in the bathroom to put the toiletry bags

Pros: Loved the decor, beautiful furnishings. Very relaxing, calm oasis from the busy streets. Staff were very helpful. Rooms lovely and comfortable. Would recommend. Spa and hammam experience was great.

Pros: The building is beautiful and the staff were very helpful and friendly helping arrange a medina tour and to use the on-site hammam. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sunshine. Breakfast was also very nice.

Cons: Our room in the annexe felt a little dated and the bathroom as well. Our room was serviced after the first night but not the second.

Soggiorno stupendo staff gentilissimo

Pros: We loved everything. The staff was incredibily kind and experienced, the Riad was absolutely gorgeous and it was wonderful to have dinner there with homemade local and tasty food. They also helped us to arrange a guided tour with a fantastic guide who could speak italian ( and for us it was very important ). The position of the Riad is perfect to visit the old medina and the Hammam experience was wonderful. We booked in the afternoon for a traditional Hammam in the evening and it was priceless. The Al Makan Riad really entered in our hearts, and we would love to come back. When ( and not id ) we’ll be back in Fes we’ll certainly book here again. Thanks a lot for everything, it was special!. Pros: Meryem and the team were fantastic. The riad is in a great location, and the rooms are clean, with beds that are incredibly comfy. The food is marvellous. Our train was cancelled on the day of arrival, and Meryem instinctively upgraded us and welcomed us with tea and helpful basic information about Fes. She is truly a gem of the hospitality.

Nice riad

Pros: The position is out from the medina but for my opinion was much better … the riad is nice and clean and all the people working from the reception to the restaurant are really polite and helpful..

Great hotel

Pros: Great hotel. Nice staff and breakfast. Good aircondition for the cold weather. Great location not to far into the Medina. If you are very sensitive to sound I would recommend the deluxe room, it was completely quiet. The standard had some noise from the street, but it common among all hotels in the riad. We got a very good recommendation for a city guide which was very nice as the medina is easy to get lost in. We would usually not have guide, but it was very worth it here. Our guides name was Idris, we recommend to ask for him. He was with us all day and took us to all the best spots. The Hammam was also great, very nice ladies
