Delightful stay in Riad Fez Mahal

Pros: Wonderfully restored riad Modern facilities combined with traditional decorative elements. Tasteful breakfast served in a beautiful patio by an attentive diligent lady We were a family of two, staying in two different rooms. The suite on the first floor is spacious, and features an incredible ceiling Our cornered double room was airy with two windows facing a garden, the medina and the mountains. Small rooftop with interesting views. Easy to find in a residential area of the medina (with google map) but steps from a couple of top restaurants Omar, the property manager was discreet and really helpful .

Cons: We liked every bit of Riad Fez Mahal. Highly recommended Only be aware of a wrong location indicated by Apple Map.

Truly wonderful riad in the medina.

Pros: A small alleyway in the middle of the Fes Medina leads to this stunningly beautiful riad. It feels like you have entered a palace. The woodwork and the zellige tile are genuine Moroccan craftwork. The breakfast served at 8:00 a.m. is great. Omar is always present and very helpful. He arranged for a small bag of laundry to be taken and returned on the same day which cost only MAD 40. Breakfast is served on the ground level and there is a beautiful, very spacious room also on the ground level if you don't like stairs. There is also a rooftop patio for the view. A kettle and small fridge is provided. Great shower. Complimentary tea on arrival.

Cons: Many hotels and riads have big quilts on the bed and even in cool weather, they're too hot. Thankfully there are blankets as well so we just removed the quilt. The downstairs room opens onto the courtyard so the windows are open to that noise but at night everything was quiet. It's quite easy to get lost in the Medina since it has a million alleyways. We had to use two map apps simultaneously to get around because they couldn't always pick up our position with high walls all around.

Pros: The riad is such an oasis of quiet on the edge of the medina. The staff were super friendly, catering for my dietary needs (lactose intolerance) at breakfast. It's a lovely place to hang out in the middle of the day during the July heat. Close to nice restaurants and cafes. The roof terrace is a lovely space to relax!

A sanctuary in Fes!

Pros: A beautiful calm little oasis in the Medina of Fes and just so thoughtfully laid out. The rooms are large and cool and a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Medina! Breakfasts lovely and the dinner was fabulous! Thank you to Omar and his team for a fabulous couple of days!

Cons: Nothing, it was all good!!!!

A perfectly tranquil and beautiful stay

Pros: The most beautiful finishes and the courtyard is a wonderful sanctuary from the busy medina. Breakfasts are generous, and the dinner available upon request and reservation was excellent

Cons: Like most places in Morocco there are many stairs, this is not a negative but advice to pack light luggage.

Love this spot!

Pros: Peaceful, with a wonderful host and fantastic view over the Medina. This is our second time here and I will hopefully be coming back for a third.

Efficient and comfortable hotel

Pros: Traditionally decorated hotel with comfortable bed, excellent shower, hairdryer and a good sized room. Breakfast was ok and the transfer service offered was very smooth and stress free. They kindly printed our boarding passes for us as well, which was appreciated.

A pleasant one night stay

Pros: Everything was perfect! The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and very well equipped with everything that we needed. The breakfast was very delicious!

Pros: This Riad is located into the Medina and it is furnished with typical Moroccan design allowing the guests to experience authentic traditions and feelings. His manager Omar took care of all of our needs and was highly hospitable with us

Friendly hotel, lovely design and good view terrace

Pros: It’s a lovely place, beautiful design and comfortable bed. Good room size and good location. Easy to reach to restaurants and markets. Breakfast is lovely and good food. It would be if they can supply some fruits as well.

Cons: The shower doesn’t supply enough hot water for two people at the first night. I had a nearly cold shower, somehow the toilet is a bit smelly.
